Are you ready for it? The best brownie recipe in the world! I know that’s quite a claim, but I have to say this recipe is so yummy, it’s dangerous! An added bonus is that it is lightening quick to make. What more could you ask for? Here you go…

200g butter
4 eggs
600 ml sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla (preferably bourbon) or 1 vanilla pod
300 ml plain flour
8 dessertspoons cocoa powder
Pinch of salt
100-150g hazelnuts, roughly chopped
Heat your oven to 170° C
Melt the butter and let it cool. Beat the eggs, vanilla and sugar together. Add the flour, cocoa and salt. Pour in the butter and mix it all together. Pour the mixture into a greased, medium-sized tin or dish. Sprinkle the hazelnuts over the top. Bake for approx. 45 mins. Let the cake cool down before cutting into brownies. They are nice served with some good vanilla icecream, or just on their own :)
